O Oscar ó mellor actor de secundario é unha as categorías dos Premios Oscar que cada ano entrega a Academia das Artes e das Ciencias Cinematográficas nos Ánxeles. Entrégase para premiar actores con interpretacións destacadas en papeis non protagonistas na industria do cinema. O premio adoita ser entregado pola gañadora do Óscar á mellor actriz secundaria da edición anterior.
Na cerimonia da 9ª edición dos Óscar que tivo lugar en 1937, Walter Brennan foi o primeiro gañador polo seu papel en Come and Get It.[1] Inicialmente, os gañadores nas categorías de interpretación secundaria recibían placas no canto de estatuas.[2] A partir da 16ª edición, celebrada en 1944, os gañadores reciben estatuas de tamaño normal.[3]
Dous actores foron nomeados postumamente, Ralph Richardson e o gañador Heath Ledger.[4]
