Walter Thomas Huston, nado en Toronto o 5 de abril de 1883 e finado en Hollywood, California o 7 de abril de 1950 foi un actor canadense. Foi o pai do director John Huston e avó de Anjelica Huston e Danny Huston.

Traxectoria

Fillo de granxeiros, debutou no teatro en 1902, pero seguiu traballando en centrais eléctricas xa nos Estados Unidos ata 1909, cando comezou a aparecer en vodevís.

Iniciou a súa carreira en Broadway en 1924 e coa chegada do cinema sonoro pasou a actuar en filmes de Hollywood.

En 1948 participou en The Treasure of the Sierra Madre, dirixida polo seu fillo John. Por este filme Walter gañou o Oscar ao mellor actor secundario e John o Oscar ao mellor director.

O seu último filme foi The Furies, con Barbara Stanwyck, en 1950.
