Harvey Johannes Keitel , nado en Brooklyn (Nova York) o 13 de maio de 1939,[1] é un actor estadounidense, fillo do emigrante xudeu polonés Harry Keitel e de nai romanesa, Miriam da Maramureş.
En 1991, foi nomeado ao premio Oscar que outorga a Academia, por Bugsy.[2]
Traxectoria

[editar | editar a fonte]Con dezasete anos decidiu entrar no Corpo de Marines[2] e participou durante 1958 na operación Blue Bat, na crise do Líbano. Ao regresar aos Estados Unidos, traballou de reporteiro xudicial e comezou, posteriormente, a súa carreira como actor.
Mantivo unha prolongada relación coa actriz Lorraine Bracco.[3] En 2001, casou coa tamén actriz Daphna Kastner. É pai de tres fillos: Stella (nada en 1985, froito da relación con Bracco), Hudson (nado en 2001, dunha relación con Lisa Karmazin) e Roman (nado en 2004, fillo tamén de Kastner).
