Bernard Hill, nado o 17 de decembro de 1944 en Manchester, e finado o 5 de maio de 2024,^[1] foi un actor inglés de cinema, televisión e teatro.

Traxectoria

Nunha carreira de 30 anos, foi máis coñecido por interpretar o capitán Edward John Smith, en Titanic, Rei Théoden nas adaptacións cinematográficas da triloxía d´O Señor dos Aneis, e como o director do cárcere "San Quentin" no filme de Clint Eastwood Execución inminente. Hill foi o único actor en aparecer en máis dun dos tres filmes premiados con once Oscars, e un dos tres únicos actores protagonistas en máis dun filme que recadara máis de 1000 millóns de dólares estadounidenses, a saber: Titanic e The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King (os outros actores son Orlando Bloom, que tamén actuou en The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King, así como en Pirates of the Caribbean e Johnny Depp, que tamén actuou en Pirates of the Caribbean, así como en Alice in Wonderland. Hill apareceu en tres filmes que gañaron o Academy Award for Best Picture: Gandhi, Titanic e The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King.
