Herbert Feigl, nado en Reichenberg o de 14 de decembro de 1902 e finado en Minneapolis o 1 de xuño de 1988, foi un filósofo austríaco-norteamericano.

Traxectoria

Feigl estudou física, matemáticas e filosofía en Múnic, seguindo os seus estudos en Viena a partir de 1922 con Moritz Schlick, o fundador do Círculo de Viena. Doutorouse en 1927 en filosofía, e en 1929 publicou a súa primeira monografía Theorie und Erfahrung in der Physik, converténdose por esta época en membro activo do Círculo . En 1930 cunha bolsa de estudos marchou á Universidade Harvard. En 1931 asentouse definitivamente nos Estados Unidos, traballando como profesor axudante na Universidade de Iowa e en 1940 como profesor de filosofía pasou á Universidade de Minnesota, onde en 1953 fundou o Minnesota Center for Philosophy of Science.
