A apolipoproteína C4 (tamén chamada apolipoproteína C-IV ou apo C-IV entre outros nomes) é unha proteína que nos humanos está codificada no xene APOC4 do cromosoma 19.[1][2]
Función
[editar | editar a fonte]APOC4 é un membro da familia de xenes da apolipoproteína C. Exprésase no fígado e ten unha estrutura proteica predita característica das proteínas dos outros xenes da familia. APOC4 é un xene de 3,3-kb que consta de 3 exóns e 2 intróns; está localizado a 0,5 kb do extremo 5' do xene APOC2.[1]
