Arnold Vosloo, nado o 16 de xuño de 1962 en Pretoria (Suráfrica), é un actor de cine e televisión nacionalizado estadounidense. Vosloo acadou a fama pola súa actuación no filme The Mummy (1999) e The Mummy Returns (2001), onde interpreta o personaxe do título; tamén interpretou o coronel surafricano Coetzee no filme Diamante de sangue.
Traxectoria
[editar | editar a fonte]Logo de estudar interpretación na Performing Arts Council de Transvaal, Vosloo comezou a súa carreira no teatro, gañando varios premios Dalro polas súas interpretacións en obras como Don Juan, Hamlet e Môre is 'n Lang Dag. Ó pouco tempo converteuse nun actor regular do State Theatre de Pretoria.
En 1984, pasouse ó cine onde seguiu logrando distincións pola súa actuación en filmes como Boetie gaan Border toe. Vosloo tamén participou en Morenga (1985), Skeleton Coast (1987) e The Rutanga Tapes (1990).
O seu debut nun filme estadounidense ocorreu en 1492: Conquest of Paradise (1992). Despois apareceu nas dúas secuelas de Darkman (Darkman II: The Return of Durant de 1994 e Darkman III: Die Darkman Die de 1996), tomando o lugar de Liam Neeson como o personaxe do filme.
En 1999 Vosloo apareceu en The Mummy (protagonizada por Brendan Fraser) e máis tarde na súa secuela de 2001, The Mummy Returns; en ambos filmes interpretou a Imhotep, un sacerdote do Antigo Exipto.
Apareceu como o coronel mercenario Coetzee no filme Diamante de sangue (2006), que foi filmada en parte en Suráfrica.
En 2009 interpretou o mercenario Zartan en G.I. Joe: The rise of Cobra.
