Interpretou a Cedric Daniels en The Wire e apareceu en Oz como o Detective Johnny Basil. Tamén apareceu nas tempadas catro e cinco da serie de televisión Lost. Actualmente, ten un papel importante na serie Fringe. Previamente, protagonizou dous episodios de Law & Order.
