Edith Nesbit ou Edith Bland (ao casar), nada en Kennington (Surrey, agora Gran Londres) o 15 de agosto de 1858 e finada en New Romney o 4 de maio de 1924, foi unha poeta e autora inglesa de literatura infanto-xuvenil que asinaba como baixo o nome de E. Nesbit.

Traxectoria

Entre libros propios e colaboracións, acadou un total de 60 libros de ficción para cativos, varios dos cales foron adaptados para cinema e televisión. Así mesmo, foi unha militante política e cofundadora da Sociedade Fabiana, agrupación precursora do Partido Laborista moderno de Gran Bretaña.
