Potamotrygon

Potamotrygon é un xénero de raias de auga doce da familia Potamotrygonidae que é orixinario dos ríos de América do Sur.[1] É un xénero de animais común nos acuarios.[2]

Ó igual que outras raias, as especies do xénero teñen dardos velenosos na base das súas colas, e as súas picadas son perigosas para os humanos.[2] Dise que os indíxenas de América do Sur temen máis as raias que as pirañas.[3]
