O gosiute é un dialecto da lingua shoshone que foi falado tradicionalmente polo pobo goshute da Gran Conca nos actuais estados de Utah e Nevada. As comunidades modernas de fala gosiute inclúen a reserva india Goshute Reservation e a reserva india de Skull Valley.^[2]^[3]^[4]

Fonoloxía[editar | editar a fonte]

Ao contrario doutros dialectos do shoshone, o gosiute ten unha africada interdental [t̪θ] no canto da africada alveolar estridente [ts].^[6] Os falantes de gosiute tamén poden omitir o [h] inicial.^[7]
