Entombed é unha banda sueca de death metal formada no ano 1987 co nome de Nihilist. Entombed comezou a súa carreira como un dos primeiros pioneiros do death metal escandinavo que inicialmente difería do estadounidense polo seu distintivo ton de guitarra "buzzsaw". Porén, a principios dos 90 o seu son ampliouse para incluír garage rock e outras influencias. Este estilo novo sería finalmente descrito como death 'n' roll. Entombed foi influenciada por bandas como Slayer, Exodus, Black Sabbath, Celtic Frost, Autopsy, Repulsion, Kiss, The Misfits, Motörhead, Discharge, Death e Testament.[1] Xunto con Dismember, Grave e Unleashed, Entombed é considerado un dos catro grandes do death metal sueco.
