A acuaporina 3 é unha proteína que funciona como canle acuosa que se encontra na membrana plasmática basolateral das células principais do conduto colector e proporciona unha vía para que a auga saia das células.[1] No ril, a AQP3 é regulada pola vasopresina (ADH).[2] Esta proteína é tamén un determinante para o sistema de grupos sanguíneos GIL.[3] Nos humanos está codificada no xene AQP3 do cromosoma 9.
O ácido suberoilaniluro hidroxámico (SAHA) (un inhibidor de HDAC) incrementa a expresión de acuaporina 3 en células de pel normal (queratinocitos).[4]
Importancia clínica
[editar | editar a fonte]Os niveis de AQP3 adoitan ser máis baixos na psoríase que cando a pel está sa.[4]
A AQP3 exprésase máis no eccema atópico.[5]
