The Wombats é unha banda rock de Liverpool, Inglaterra, de xénero indie, composta por Matthew Murphy (voz principal, guitarra, teclado), Dan Haggis (batería e coros) e Tord Øverland-Knudsen (de orixe norueguesa, baixo e coros), que se coñeceron no 2003 no LIPA (Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts).
