A besta na xungla[1] (en inglés: The Beast in the Jungle) é unha novela de 1903 escrita por Henry James. Foi publicada como parte da colección, The Better Sort. Considerada universalmente como unha das mellores narrativas curtas de James, a historia trata temas universais como o illamento, o destino, o amor e a morte.
Foi traducido ó galego por Alejandro Tobar[2] e foi publicado pola Editorial Hugin e Munin no ano 2014.[1]
