Alén

O Alén (tamén coñecido vida após a morte, outro mundo ou máis alá) é o concepto do reino, ou o reino en si mesmo (ora físico, ora transcendental), no que unha parte esencial da identidade ou consciencia individual continúa a existir despois da morte do corpo. Segundo diversas ideas sobre o Alén, o aspecto esencial do individuo que vive no alén pode ser algún elemento parcial, a alma ou o espírito, que son os que lle confiren a identidade persoal. A crenza no Alén, que pode ser naturalista ou sobrenatural, oponse á crenza no esquecemento eterno.
