As halotiobaciláceas (Halothiobacillaceae) son unha familia de bacterias halotolerantes, mesofílicas e quimiolitoautótrofas obrigadas da orde Chromatiales, cuxo xénero tipo é Halothiobacillus.^[1] Están estreitamente relacionadas coa familia Thioalkalibacteraceae de autótrofos halófilos obrigados con características morfolóxicas e xenómicas distintas.^[2]
