Non-mevalonate pathway reactions in the biosynthesis of isoprenoids. Note, this image—in its orientation, style, and specifics of image and textual content—is redrawn/transcribed verbatim from the scheme of Qidwai et al. (2014) [their Fig. 2.].* See Qidwai T, Jamal F, Khan MY, Sharma B (2014). "Exploring Drug Targets in Isoprenoid Biosynthetic Pathway for Plasmodium falciparum" (review). Note also that this source is a second/third tier journal in this field (see rankings based in impact factors), and that as a consequence, the enzyme names and abbreviations in this image are both non-comprehensive and non-standard (cf.
