Prime Minister Joop den Uyl has made a visit to the Netherlands Antilles. He spoke to members of the Council of Ministers of the Netherlands Antilles and visited several islands. The economic situation in the Antilles is bad, which can be seen in the rise in prices, increasing unemployment and a decrease in tourism. The dismissal of employees on strike of a Japanese fishing company in Sint-Maarten caused riots. During the riots the administrative office in Philipsburg was set on fire. SHOTS: city shots of Willemstad; Den Uyl with the Council of Ministers of the Netherlands Antilles; Den Uyl and his wife visiting the plantation Wambo and a pig farm on Curaçao; Den Uyl visits a slum in Aruba and a housing project in Tarabana, Aruba; the harbour and remains of the administrative office in Philipsburg.
