The Shaping of Middle-earth – The Quenta, The Ambarkanta and The Annals[1] (1986) (tamén coñecido como The Shaping of Middle-earth) é o cuarto volume da serie de 12 volumes de Christopher Tolkien The History of Middle-earth, nos cales analiza os manuscritos inéditos do seu pai J. R. R. Tolkien.[2]
