Procol Harum foi unha banda inglesa de rock formada en Southend-on-Sea, Essex en 1967. A súa gravacións máis cñecida é o exitoso sinxelo de 1967 "A Whiter Shade of Pale", un dos poucs sinxelos que vendeu máis de 10 millóns de copias.^[1] Aínda que destacou polas súas influencias barrocas e clásicas, a música de Procol Harum é descrita como rock psicodélico e proto-prog con toques de blues, R&B e soul.

En 2018 a banda foi honrada polo Rock and Roll Hall of Fame cando "A Whiter Shade of Pale" foi incluído na nova categoría de sinxelos.^[2]^[3]
