Gohar Sarkis Muradyan, nada o 28 de outubro de 1957 en Iereván, é unha filóloga e tradutora armenia. É doutora en filoloxía (1986) e doktor nauk en filoloxía (2005), así como investigadora no Instituto de Manuscritos Antigos (Matenadaran) en Iereván e xefa do departamento de estudo e tradución de textos antigos.

Traxectoria

Estudou na escola inglesa nº 172 de Iereván entre 1969 e 1974 e entre 1974 e 1979 cursou estudos na Facultade de Filoloxía da Universidade Estatal de Leningrado. Entre 1979 e 1982 fixo estudos de posgraduado no instituto de estudos orientais da Academia Nacional de Ciencias de Armenia. Dende 1982, Muradyan traballa no instituto Matenadaran, dende 1998 como investigadora e dende 2014 como xefa do departamento de estudo e tradución de textos antigos.

Ao longo da súa traxectoria publicou edicións de textos, monografías e artigos do armenio antigo traducidos dende o grego.

En 1986 fixo a defensa do seu doutoramento: "The Book of Chreia and its Sources". Dende novembro de 2001 é membro da AIEA ("Asociación Internacional de Estudos Armenios"). En 2005 defendeu a súa tese de doutoramento:: "The Hellenizing School and Classical Armenian."

Ademais, participou en numerosas conferencias internacionais, proxectos de investigación conxuntos e cooperación con institucións de investigación: entre 1996 e 1997 co Max-Planck-Institut für europäische Rechtsgeschichte (Frankfurt am Main), en 1998 co Institudo de estudos avanzados dos Países Baixos, entre 1999 e 2002, 2001 e 2004, 2005 e 2007 coa Universidade de Xenebra, entre 2008 e 2009 coa Universidade de Graz e entre 2007 e 2012 coa Universidade de Nebraska–Lincoln. Dita cooperación traduciuse na publicación de monografías, artigos e traducións en armenio, inglés, francés e ruso.
