Deutsch: Originallegende: Speicheldrüsenzelle von Chironomus spec., Larve. Frisch mit Zusatz von 1 p. c. Ameisensäure. Structur der Zellsubstanz; BALBIANIscher Fadenknäuel im Kern, die Windungen nur soweit gezeichnet als verfolgbar; Querschichtung des Fadens; derselbe ist dunkel dargestellt, wie er sich nach Tinction ausnimmt.
English: Salivary gland cell from Chironomus spec., larvae. Fresh, with 1 per cent formic acid. Structure of the cell substance. BALBIANI ball of threads in the nucleus, turns drawn only as far as followable; banding of the thread, which is presented dark, as after staining.
