This is an image of former Ecuadorian president José Eloy Alfaro Delgado (1842-1912), a member of the Radical Liberal Party who was president twice: from 1895-1901 and 1906-1911. He was arrested in December 1911 after a failed coup attempt and locked up in de central jail of Quito. Killed by an angry mob on January 28, 1912.
