Proposal for GoogleTrans gadget[editar a fonte]

Hi there,

Sorry about the English.

I have had a GoogleTrans gadget on the enwiki for almost a year now. If you position the cursor over a word and hit the SHIFT key it will popup the google translation of that word. It is like the google toolbar translation feature except that it will also handle selected text (< 500 characters). The gadget is currently running on 12 wikis.

There are instructions on how to port the gadget onto other wikis on the help page.

The gadget is really good for intermediate learners of your language in that they can get a translation for the word or two they don't know in each sentence or paragraph. If you don't know much Galician at all, like me, you can simply select a sentence or two (< 500 characters), put the cursor within the selected text, hit SHIFT key, and the translation for the whole selected text will pop up. There is a Google link in each popup. If you click on the Google link then the entire page is translated.

Good luck with your wiki. Any Spanish-speaker who is picking up Galician by reading glwiki articles could benefit from this gadget.

Calidade artigos por defecto[editar a fonte]

Banjo, se quitamos a marca por defecto a este trebello, o modelo de medición ORES non funciona cando o usuario non está conectado ou é unha IP, co cal os listados do tipo Wikipedia:Wikiproxecto_1000_artigos_de_calidade_para_alumnado_de_12_a_16_anos/Educación_corporal perden esa información. @Elisardojm: Técnicamente: Se o modelo depende do .js do trebello, este ten que estar activado, senón o modelo non funciona. A alternativa é que cada usuario crease un propio .js no seu espazo de usuarios, pero ven sendo o mesmo, e é máis doado e cómodo para todos deixalo como trebello e activalo nas preferencias de cada un. Operativamente: O trebello engade a valoración nos propios artigos, unha valoración automática realizada por unha ferramenta externa que non debería amosarse por defecto. É un trebello relacionado cunha funcionalidade externa á propia Galipedia usado por un wikiproxecto. Aqueles usuarios que queran participar do mesmo ou ter esa funcionalidade visible que habiliten o trebello nas súas preferencias, pero non se lle pode impoñer a todos sen máis cando non é algo que afecta directamente a que información se visualiza nos artigos e que non está validado pola comunidade para ser o estándar por defecto. ☣Banjo ^{tell me} 14 de febreiro de 2019 ás 10:52 (UTC)[responder]
