A Academia Chinesa de Ciencias é a academia nacional de ciencias naturais da República Popular da China. É unha institución do Consello de Estado da China.

Estrutura[editar | editar a fonte]

Ten a súa sede en Pequín, con institutos repartidos por todo o país.[1][2] Foi fundada en Pequín o 1 de novembro de 1949, foi creada para ser a forza chinesa nas áreas de investigación, animando aos seus científicos a regresar ao seu país, adestrando e asignándoos.

A Academia Chinesa de Ciencias supervisa uns 120 institutos, incluídas as instalacións "grandes científicas" da China, e tres institucións de ensino superior. Despois dunha serie de renovacións, os científicos de moitos dos seus laboratorios dedícanse a investigacións de clase mundial nunha variedade de disciplinas, incluídas a física cuántica, as matemáticas e a neurociencia.[3]
