Warner Baxter
Warner Baxter, nado en Columbus, Ohio en 1889 e finado en 1951, foi un actor norteamericano.

Sendo cativo trasladouse coa súa nai a San Francisco en 1898. Logo do terremoto de San Francisco de 1906 súa familia tivo que vivir nunha tenda por dúas semanas.En 1910 debutou como actor nun vodevil e posteriormente pasou ao teatro e, dende 1921, ao cine.
Baxter iniciou súa carreira cinematográfica como un extra.Tivo seu primeiro papel protagonista en 1921 na película Sheltered Daughters. Durante os anos 1920 actuou en 48 películas. Súa actuación máis famosa fue como Cisco Kid en In Old Arizona, papel por o que recibiu o Óscar ao mellor actor. Tamén actuou en Grand Canary , Broadway Bill e Kidnapped
Para 1936, Baxter era o actor mellor pagado de Hollywood, pero para 1943 había pasado a realizar películas de clase B. Protagonizou unha serie de película do Crime Doctor para Columbia Pictures.
Entre 1914 e 1950, Baxter realizou máis de cen películas. Estivo casado coa actriz Winifred Bryson desde 1918 ata súa morte.
Baxter sufría de artritis, polo que realizouse unha lobotomía para reducir o dolor. Morreu pouco despois de pneumonía e foi enterrado no Forest Lawn Memorial Park en Glendale (California).
