The Shins é unha banda estadounidense de indie rock formada en Albuquerque, Novo México no ano 1996. O grupo está composto por James Mercer (voces, guitarra), Joe Plummer (batería), Jessica Dobson (guitarra), Yuuki Matthews (baixo) e Richard Swift (teclados). Na actualidade a banda está baseada na cidade de Portland, Oregon.
