The Fall é unha banda inglesa de post-punk formada en Prestwich, Greater Manchester en 1976. O grupo existiu con varias formas dende entón, e xira esencialmente ao redor do seu fundador e único membro permanente Mark E. Smith. Nun principio estivo asociada co movemento punk de finais dos anos 70, pero a música da banda pasou por varios cambios de estilo ao longo dos anos. Porén, de The Fall adoita caracterizarse pola súa repetición e un abrasivo son de guitarra, elementos sempre respaldados pola voz de Smith.
