Os Tenericutes son un filo de bacterias caracterizadas por non teren parede celular. Contén a clase Mollicutes (os micoplasmas), que noutras clasificacións está incluída no filo Firmicutes. O nome foi validado en 1984 como unha nova división (= filo) [3][4][5] e procede do latín tener cutis, "pel branda", referido aquí a superficie celular branda, xa que non teñen parede celular. Os xéneros máis notables que inclúe son Mycoplasma e Ureaplasma.
