Traxectoria[editar | editar a fonte]

Un dos seus primeiros libros, "Circle of the Sciences: A series of Treatises on the Principles of Science, with their Application to Practical Pursuits" (Glasgow, 1860), escrito en colaboración con William Somerville Orr, Richard Owen, Edward Smith, e William Sweetland Dallas contiña unha forte discusión dobre os unicornios mariños (narvais)[2].
