O primeiro papel de Tootoosism nun filme foi en Alien Thunder (1973), con Chief Dan George e Donald Sutherland. Gordon participou na miniserie da CBC Television By Way of the Stars con Eric Schweig como "Black Thunder" e Tantoo Cardinal como "Franoise". Esta foi rodada en Uxbridge, Ontario. Tootoosis prestou a súa voz xunto con Russell Means na produción de Disney Pocahontas (1995) e Song of Hiawatha (1997).
